Treasure Island's permit file must have an official record which shows new buildings and substantial improvements in all identified Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHAs) are properly elevated. This elevation information is needed to show compliance with the floodplain management ordinance. Treasure Island uses the Elevation Certificate developed by FEMA because Treasure Island participates in the Community Rating System (CRS).
You can use link below to view elevation certificates from the city's records. A flood elevation certificate is an official FEMA approved document that identifies the elevation (height above sea level), the special flood hazard area, and required base flood elevation (BFE) based on the communities Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM's) in effect at the time of certification. Not all properties in Treasure Island have Elevation Certificates listed on this site. Certificates are being added in this ongoing project. If your property is not listed, contact the number listed above.
