Treasure Island's beaches are home to many weddings all year 'round, but especially in June. Generally, people conduct their wedding ceremony on the beach or down by the shoreline, then head back to their hotel or motel for the reception, especially during the months from May to October, when the weather here is pretty hot (90 to 95 degrees) and the humidity is about a gazillion percent.
Weddings on the beach require a permit. Click HERE for the beach wedding form.
All inquiries for permits or explanation of the city's governing regulations should be made to the Recreation Department at least sixty (60) days in advance of the scheduled event. A $25 non-refundable administrative fee is required with application for a small gathering of less than 75 people for a ceremony (i.e. wedding, memorial, etc), inclusive of only a 10’ x 10’ tent and arch. Tents greater than 10’ x 10’ in size must pay for a separate tent permit from the Building Division.
If you have any questions about holding your wedding on the beach, contact the Parks & Recreation Department at 727-547-4575 ext. 237 or email@example.com
